I saw Dr. Stillion for years, but she decided to go to Patient First. I am on Cholesterol and early Alzheimer's medication which needed to be refilled. My Cancer Dr. is at Southside Regional Medical so I looked for a G.P. physician there. I made an appointment with Dr. Lewis, and was
night before, the Dr's office called and reminded me of my 4:00 appointment. At 3:45 I was there, The staff was very rude, " you were told to arrive 45 minutes early so we could call your Cigna health care provider for approval." I filled out all the paperwork, and told them I called Cigna and Dr Lewis was on the approval list. They did not care, they only call Cigna after a patient is in the office not before. I was not getting surgery only a lab test and drugs renewed. HOW MONEY HUNGRY CAN A DR'S OFFICE BE, NOT TO SEE A PATIENT WITHOUT INSURANCE APPROVAL! or when they called to remind a patient of an appointment clearly state the 45 minute early or say your appointment is 3:15 PM. How hard would that have been. Rude and condescending. I'm going to a Dr at HCA. I got an appointment in 2 weeks. CAN YOU BELIEVE THEY CALLED THE NEXT DAY AND TOLD ME I MISSED THE APPOINTMENT AND WOULD I LIKE TO RESCHEDULE.
I love Dr. Lewis. He is professional, fixes what ails you and takes time to listen. If his staff were better, he would have gotten a 5 star rating. They are not very good. They have forgotten me and left me sitting for 2 hours, and a nurse practioner there wasted an hour and a half with me and did nothing for my sinus infection, something I get every 3 months or so. I went out of town and had to drive 3 hours to go to Patient First to get antibiotics, with a fever of 104. I will not ever go back to this office. Sorry, Dr.Lewis. Get new people who are trained to do their jobs and your practice would go better. Kassie is not my real name, I won't use that on Google. I believe Dr Lewis knows who I am, though. I have RA and I have spoken to you about your staff before and the countless things they;ve done wrong.
I read a few post about Dr.Lewis and his staff. I've heard for example his staff was very rude. Well seen a very friendly staff everytime with a very hard working receptionist that is so focused on getting things correct for the doc I could see her coming off the wrong way. Most are upset because they don't want to send you home with a bunch of narcotics. They're willing to listen very well and have an abundance of knowledge if one is willing to give them a chance . Love you guys.
I called weekly to see if there was any cancellations to get in sooner, didn't happen. The
Had to see Dr. Lewis because my normal Dr was ill. Yearly Physical blood work etc. Office called later stated all was OK. Two years later I go back to Dr. Weathington for normal yearly physical. He said its been awhile, I stated had to go elsewhere last time . Long story short, got copy of Dr. Lewis's blood work he did not check for PSA , number #1 cause of prostrate cancer in men over 65 ( I'm 70). Yes, my level was 9 way above the red flag 5. I am now going through the steps to get over prostrate cancer. A lot of men don't go to see a Doctor every 2 years, but I do. SO BE WHERE, NOT ALL PHYSICIANS ARE THUROW, OR KNOWLEDGEABLE.
