I have seen two of the doctors at this practice. Dr. James Bush was very professional. He actually listened to what I had to say and took into consideration my symptoms. He did not send me on a wild goose chase with specialists. He diagnosed me and continues to treat me for fibromyalagia. The other doctor (I don't remember his name) was very rude. He interrupted me while I was speaking and did not even give me a chance to talk. He hurried me out the door and sent me to a specialist without even blinking. I had already been diagnosed...why should I go to a specialist for a 2nd opinion? If you do go to the medical center, you should request Dr. James Bush.
Both times I have been here, I have waited more than 30 minutes to be taken back and then waited 45 minutes or more to be seen by the doctor once the nurse was finished checking vitals.
My children and I see Stacey Hanson and she is great. She is courteous, prompt and does not beat around the bush when it comes to your health. I am also pleased to see they have vastly improved their front office staff. Now if they could just improve the fact it takes over 20 minutes to get through on the phone, no mater what you are calling for your stuck in a Que. I have been told all calls go to the Hopewell office so this technically not the Colonial Heights offices fault, but it is a concern I can drive to either office quicker than I can get a person on the phone.
UPDATE: I was told they would be getting a new phone system and they have. The wait time is definitely better but you still don't get through in less than 10 minutes. Again it is an improvement so they get credit for that.
All of the doctors are excellent, and they listen to their patients, and through the examination make the appropriate diagnosis. I see Frank Jordeans, and he is excellent. He has helped me tremendously and makes the necessary referrals to ensure 100% recovery. The doctors care which make a big difference.
