Have attended the Fort Clifton Festival there in May. It is nice for such a festival.
Run down and civil war earthworks not preserved. Trash everywhere. Drug paraphernalia on picnic tables.
The festival vendors for most part were great, except snow cone people were rude and don't know how to cue drink orders properly. Definitely need to learn how to create more handicap parking. The shuttle system is a legal nightmare waiting to happen when you cram 30 people in to a 12 seat bus and I am certain the bus drivers were not CDL endorsed. Next time I go, will get there early and control my own parking situation. Also, place a shuttle pickup station in the lower parking lot so elderly and handicap don't have to climb that hill to the upper lot.
I like walking around the paths and enjoying all the nature. It's also I nice place to go fishing.
Great family outdoor location. Offers fishing, trails, historic education. Picnic pavilion
