First room smelled... the furniture in the room looked like it was bought in the 80s. The clerk did give me a new room with no issues and apologized. The door to the 2nd was hanging open... this was at 4 in the AM. No one was in the room thankfully and it was cleaner than the last room. I slept on top of the covers cause i just didn't trust it. I debated just leaving for a different hotel but i stuck it out.
Oh boy...where to begin. Check-in desk clerk had thicker bullet proof glass then a bank. Smoke detector missing with wires cut and a towel shoved in the hole. Bugs on wall. Old food containers behind night stand. Bed had odd stains under sheets (we were checking for bed bugs. It was that bad we had had to check). Room smelt of Marijuana and what I assume is crack/meth from our lovely neighbors next door. Shower was sketchy with dirt/mold. We refused to use even though we had been driving for 2 days. Curtains didn't fully close (had to wrap around door handle). Crack house in Brooklyn would have been better night stay.
Many people live there.... breakfast consisted slices of dry white bread, stale bagels and staler cereal. The TV picture was fuzzy most times. The beds were small and needed better pillows. We didn't have major expectations but this was just sad. Thank goodness we were out and about most of the time. We know better for next time we visit the area.
Nice people working there. Rooms are good. Got moved from one room to another when the key wouldnt let us back in. Ended up with a king size bed which was awesome
No stars for those dirty hotel in disrepair. The check in process was a turn off. It was one person behind what felt like bulletproof glass spoke through a hole at the bottom similar to a bank teller . Room smelled and furniture is in disrepair. It was debris on the property from renovations that haven't happened yet. People were in the pool 3 AM. The sheets and towels were worn and the room was dusty. The couch has a spring popping out and the chair was sagging. There were towels in the room but they weren't nicely placed in the towel rack. Breakfast was sparse and not well attended by the staff. I would never stay here again. I may have turned me off motels forever. Even my kids so this is the worst place we've ever stayed
