My husband and I just had a terrible experience. Our waiter was good and he can get 4 stars for his service. However the rest was terrible. The wait time for our appetizer and for our food was really long. It took over 40min to get our food. My husband ordered a sweet tea that was not sweet at all. We both had the rib basket, our fries were cold and the ribs were cold and not even good. As we were walking out I overheard another customer saying their sweet tea was not sweet either.
We went there for lunch with our KIDS! and there was A ROACH on the window, we told the waitress and she said she'd get a manager, manager came out to look and no one did anything. We asked the waitress if someone was going to get it. She told us it was on the wall but they couldn't find it (we saw it on the window never the wall so she clearly knew there was one) and we pointed it out to her and FINALLY about a half hour later someone came out to get it. Very disgusted and I understand it happens but I hope it doesn't appen again!
Terrible! I guess everyone knows this about Applebee's but I decided to give them a shot since I had a gift card. Our waitress took forever to bring our drinks out. When she finally did and suggested the 2 for 10 appetizers (after I expressed we didn't want half size, she said it's a good portion) so we got the boneless wings and mozzarella sticks. Took about 30 minutes to come out and some other waitress gave us the mozzarella sticks first (there was only 4) and then about 15 minutes later she came and took our order and questioned why out appetizers were not on the same plate (still waiting for wings). A manager then gave us the wings (5 wings) and we didn't see our waitress for another 45 minutes. Then we got our food. I feel like we were over charged. My good came with 2 sides but only got 1. I paid for an extra side salad so I could get another side. My boyfriend got fries...which was less then a handful. She only came back to bring the check. She actually didn't even bring us the meal! Food was ok but service was horrible! Busy wasn't the excuse....because I saw all the other servers helping their tables. Our waitress hid somewhere. Wrote applebees in the survey and haven't heard anything back. Just stay away from Applebee's!
Waited a while for a table when there was numberous dirty tables. Food took a while to get. Like many restaurants in the area, they think their "busy rushes" are super busy. In reality, they are not that back, they just manage the workload poorly. Coming from a large city, you are not busy unless all the tables are occupied.
Tried again (08/20/17)... wow. Kaleb was nice but overall still disappointed. Ordered soup that looked like it was missing some it. Guess this will be our last attempt.
The wait for the food was understandable because the place was busy but during our 2.5 hrs here, we only got a refill once. And I had to ask for that. Really? The new menu isn't the best for anyone looking for variety and the bathroom...oh my. We were there from 5 to 8 and the last time anyone checked it (according to the log) was 10:45 and trust that was believable. The food tasted pretty good however the ice cream served with the brownie was slightly melted. Guess it had sat around waiting to be delivered.
